Now lock the door at the base-side and open the door at the cavern side and watch the forgotten beast. Put a chain in the 1x2 area and tie up a spare animal (f.e. preferably a metal.īuild a lever at the side of your base (outside the corridor) and link all the spear traps to that lever Provide a 1x2 area without spears in that corridor close to the door to your baseįill the narrow space between those doors with 'upright spear traps' you'll need a bunch of spears, ideally 10 spears per trap. Is there a way to beat that thing? I play this Fortress around 10 hours and dont want to make a new one :/.Ĭlose off all entrances to that cave with a locked door through a narrow (1 tile) corridor so that is the only access to your base area.īuild a second door in that same 1 tile corridor at the side of your base, length between two doors about 8 - 15 tiles I only have 2 Squads Dwarfes but the were melt in 1 sek. I am really new to this game and of course i build no Traps etc. a flying forgotten snake Beast which spray massiv fire. It's skin was played off as paint and horns as part of its headdress.I must fight vs. Or perhaps in appearance it looked like some kind of ceremonial elven warrior. Perhaps it always tried to keep it's distance and relied on its voice to trick others Perhaps the stick insect would have abilities to shapeshift (In-game of course it wouldn't just speaking as a writer trying to imagine) If they ARE the same person what does this look like? But bugs aren't weird in DF so I'm more inclined towards that. Or you can just say that the powers of RNG created two entities who claimed the same exact false identity. Basically, I just think this is a really epic bug. Vabak Anvilromance was a false identity that Legends Viewer identified as belonging to Arane but it belongs to Gedor in Legends mode. So if these are the same people what gives? All I can do is throw out ideas, but I imagine that some sort of bug occurred and so when Gedor created it's false elven identity it was later listed as an actual identity and as world generation occurred the game interpreted it as an actual elf and allowed it to generate regular elven events within the elven identity. Gedor is always in the same places at the same time, but its own legends listing will at the most talk about how it ate some livestock while Arane did a lot more at those locations. But he has married and divorced multiple women over the years. Is it possible that they are using the same exact false identity at the same time and place? Totally it is random world gen after all, but Gedors false identity isn't listed anywhere else and Arane moved to and is in the exact same place as Gedor at the exact same time in history so this leads me to doubt they are separate.īut what is weirder? Arane has had relationships. Legends outright says that Gedor is Vabak Anvilromance and all the location and timeline coincide. This was only able to be found in Legends mode and not legends viewer Usually when an entity is generated it's first entry is listed from that very moment, and not centuries after history began. So with that information we know that it was a false identity of Arane who did all this, which leads to another weird discrepancy being that despite being born in 261 his first entry into his history is becoming a scout in year 506. Vabak Anvilromance is the name of the elven mercenary who false befriended all those people He has no family to speak of which isn't strange There's of course the fact that I assumed forgotten beasts were all animal level intelligence, but I couldn't find Gedor on any of the relationship lists of these people and Gedor itself did not have any false identities or relationships listed.īut there was one relationship all of these people sharedĪrane Earthenringed has some discrepancies in his history, but most of them aren't weird for dwarf fortress world gen. It met all these people and formed relationships and I found it fascinating When I first started looking at Gedor I did so in Legends Viewer and it did not specify any false identity Beware its deadly dust! Gedor was associated with torture and caverns It's carmine exoskeleton was rough and cracked. IT had three long, spiral horns and it belches and croaks. Gedor Echoprofane was a Towering one-eyed stick insect.
